Vacuum excavation is an efficient and delicate way to remove gravel, stone and other dry and wet masses. The super vacuum machine gently uncovers underground pipes and cables, while the vacuum excavator is a perfect alternative where regular excavators are unable to gain access.

The super vacuum machine
The super vacuum machine is efficient at removing dry and liquid masses, like clay, gravel, sand, hydro granules, dirt, dust, grain or water. A common service is to blow out gravel and stone. 90 percent of the assignments is dry vacuuming, but the same vehicle may also be used for liquid masses. The expression dry vacuuming is used because such a large portion of the assignments regard removing or adding dry masses.

One of the most common jobs is digging out underground cables or pipes in the ground. The masses are sucked away, so that the pipes can be fixed. When the job is done, the super vacuum machine can blow back sand or gravel.

Another common assignment regards the removal of gravel protecting the roof fabric. The home owner gains access to the roof fabric, which might need to be substituted or repaired. Many also use the super vacuum machine to remove gravel in connection with drainage.
The super vacuum machine is produced to blow and transport all types of wet or dry masses with great force and flexibility. Most super vacuum machines have a hose dimension of around 8 inches and can operate 400 meters away from the vehicle. The super vacuum machine also has a considerable lifting height, up towards 100 meters. These are the great advantages of a super vacuum machine.

Assignment examples:

  • Uncovering, excavation and transport of masses.
  • Assignments requiring quick and precise excavation.
  • Assignment where masses are to be removed/suctioned from depths down to 30 meters.
  • Assignments where masses are to be blown to a height of up to 100 meters.

Vacuum excavator
The vacuum excavator does the job faster and more delicately than the regular excavator. Where regular excavators have a hard time gaining access, the vacuum excavator is able to do a solid job. Where the excavator might dig a bit too roughly, the vacuum excavator can do the job more delicately.

The vacuum excavator is an enormous vacuum machine that sucks in gravel, stone and other masses in a whiff. The air travels at a speed of around 500 kilometres an hour inside the hose. Nevertheless, it is gentle to pipes, cables or water pipes that must be dug out.

It sucks away gravel, so that you can easily access the area in question. The masses are sucked into a large tipping crate, which is emptied into a separate truck to carry the waste away. Therefore, we do not need a separate truck to remove the waste. In larger assignments it might, however, be more efficient to use the vacuum driver with a tipper vehicle for the transportation of masses.

Removes water and masses during a water leak
The vacuum excavator efficiently sucks away water and masses when there is a water leak. The vehicle has its own pumps, which lenses the container for water during suction. The water is pumped away while the masses fill the tipping hopper.

In addition, the vacuum excavator is ideal to remove anything from roof gravel to performing excavation jobs with difficult access, under houses and garages. It can be used to empty silos of grain and waste or to dig away contaminated soil.

Deep holes
With a hose opening of 10 inches, the vacuum excavator can suck out both larger lumps and rocks than the super vacuum machine. Furthermore, a rotating hydraulic suction nozzle may be attached to the vacuum excavator’s hose, enabling it to drill holes up to 10 meters in depth.

Despite the size of the vacuum excavator, the vehicle is easy to manoeuvre. The vehicle can actually be controlled remotely through a joystick, which is both practical and necessary, since the hose is too heavy to be held by hand. With a hose that stretches six meters out of the vehicle, it solves most problems. With the help of a mini excavator and extension hose, the range can be increased up towards 200 meter.

A vacuum excavator has a capacity of up towards 50-60.000 cubic meters per hour, whereas a super vacuum machine uses a compressor that drives impellers, which gives it a capacity of 8.500 cubic meters per hour.

A super vacuum machine and a vacuum excavator basically perform different types of assignments, but might also complement each other.
